This is it!
I am at training in California. I have had an emotional few weeks. Last week I had to say "goodbye" to my friends and family. The last days in Wyo and SoDak were filled with get-togethers, parties, last dinners with friends, and many, many tears. I d having to leave, but the experience made me realize how INCREDIBLY blessed I am to have such an amazing group of family and friends who love me!
I hopped a plane to L.A. last Saturday and spent the weekend getting to know my roommate (for the next 5 weeks) and my teammates (who I will also be living with in Prague.) They are great! As soon as I get word on their blogs, I will be posting links here.
It has been a crazy week. Our training schedule is packed! We have things scheduled from 7 am to 9:30 pm during the week and other mandatory events during the weekends. During the day, we have TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) training and sessions about things we can expect when abroad. Some of those things are a little scary, so if you want detailed info about what to pray for, email me! Our evenings are filled with the practicum, teaching English at a local church for practice. This is the least enjoyable part of my day, as I feel someone is always looking over my shoulder there...well they are...I am actually being observed. Stressful!
Anyway, this weekend, we relaxed a little, explored Pasadena for hours on a scavenger hunt, and I met up with some friends from back home today. I am rally enjoying training so far, but it is intense and exhausting...emotionally and physically. The hardest thing - not having a car! I feel ...well, with out one. It sucks.
Anyway, here is my mailing address incase anyone wants to drop me a line from now until the middle of August (we fly out on the 22nd).

Long address, huh? For the record, my primary/permanent address where correspondance and support can be sent is the same as stated in my supprt letter. (P.O.Box 769 Upton, WY 82730)
I am still lacking quite a bit in support and, although I can receive support throughout the year, I need to have the majority of it in within a few weeks.
I would love to hear from you! Please post comments or email me.
